I have for auction two DSA Type 2 receivers.
The starting bid, or "reserve price" or whatever you call it, is $350 each. Shipping is INCLUDED in the bid price.
These receivers are new, unused, and exactly as they came from DSA. The only thing I've done is put some gun oil on them.
I could take pics and post a link if people insist, but really, what they look like is DSA Type 2 receivers. The DSA website has pics and the specs.
The auction ends at midnight next Monday, a week from today, U.S. Central time.
These are serial numbered parts and must go to an FFL. The bidder is responsible for legal compliance wherever he happens to be.
One receiver is in the serial number range DS229xx. The other is DS247xx. Please specify which one you're bidding on, if it makes any difference to you. As far as I know they're physically identical.
I'm selling these because it looks as tho it would be a while until I could build on them, so I've decided to sell them to somebody who could get some use out of them now.
I do not use PayPal and can't take plastic. Payment must be by money order or check. All valid bids must be posted here, to this thread. I will not accept any bids by PM or email.
Any questions, post and ask.

I'll go $350 on one. I don't care which serial number.

Are they carry handle cut? I'll go $400 on one. NON carry handle is what I prefer, if you have one. If not, either would be fine.

Yes.
I believe that all the DSA type 2's have the carry handle cut.

I see I need to make a rule here. There's a bid of $400 which at this point would take one. Then there are two bids of $350, a tie for the other receiver.
If it remains tied, I will take the bid posted first. In other words, the rule is: in case of tie I'll take the first bid in the order posted on the thread.
So, Dunk RD, if you want it, you'll have to go higher. Verminator has the second one at this point. I thought it only fair to mention that, because with two receivers being bid on at the same time, it can get confusing.

Let's make it a little more interesting... I want both receivers for $775 shipped

That is interesting, but it won't take both receivers. Dividing by 2, your bid is an average of $387.50 each. FortunateSon's bid of $400, for one receiver, is still high bid. He's still in the lead for one.
If you're bidding only on both receivers together, you don't have a winning bid. If the "average" applies, you would get the second one. Please clarify whether your "average" bid should apply to one receiver. That's your call, not mine.
The auction ends at midnight, US Central time.

Six hours to go. As it now stands:
FortunateSon is in the lead for the first one. Bid of $400.
mtang45 leads for the second one. Bid of $355.
However, if tangbang is offering his "average" bid on the second one, he would lead for that. Arithmetic would give a bid of $387.50. Awaiting clarification whether he wants his average bid to apply to one.

Well that was interesting!
I intended to outbid FortunateSon by $5.00 and mtang45 by $15.00, hence the $775 bid for both. My mistake.
Let me clarify:
I am bidding $415 on DS229xx and I am bidding $415 on DS247xx.

Since Mr. Fortunate does not mind which receiver he receives, I would like to request DS229xx, although I will defer to FortunateSon since he has the highest bid.
Please send payment instructions to brian_1498@msn.com

Brian

Sorry I'm a little late getting back to this today.
FortunateSon has the high bid, at $450.
tangbang has second-highest bid, at $415.
I have sent a PM to FortunateSon, and I have emailed tangbang.

The status is that your receiver has been sent to you. I've also sent you a PM and an email this morning. I apologize that I haven't been in closer contact with you, that's my fault.
