View Full Version : Any info/worth of WWII Zeiss Sniper scope?

Ok, I don't have the scope on me yet, but it is being reserved as a package on a 1903 sporter. It is 4X (as I've been told) has a "German Post" reticle and Zeiss stamped on it. No "Made in Germany". I have been told it's a WWII sniper scope. Any ideas on the value?

If unaltered and in good shape, it's most likely worth a whole lot more than the rifle it's on.
Here is a link to a current E-Bay auction. No bids yet on the auction, so his price may be high. But, the one on that Springfield is likely worth a lot if it is the same as the one on E-Bay.

Thanks, same scope, same wear, no case. I've heard about $600 for mine, that might be a little low.

It's not the same model, but I have a 4X sniper (German Made in 1942) on my M41b Swedish Mauser and it's a great scope with excellent clarity. The calibrated come-ups work perfectly with my 6.5x55 reloads. It also has a post reticle.
