I say none of them, but thats just me....For the amount of money your looking to spend you could get yourself a decent optic. ie: Bushnell 3200 or possibly a Nikon Buckmaster....

it is for a metric rifle. and i know how to modify it to make it work for a metric reciever.
it has to be either of these options.
another question can you modify a stanag mount to work w/ regular optics?
like a picatany rail system adapter for this stanag mount

does anyone kno where to find an adapter for this mount

well personally, I have an L1A1 so im more inclined to buy the optic that was designed for it, but that stanag looks nifty with the range finding recticle and the added eye relief. If I were you I might go with the stanag build. I might even have to buy that later on.

If the illuminated reticule one is what I think it is then it's the same "T28" sold by TAPCO.
Given those as the choices I'd pick the SUIT. Why?
It is a tougher scope, the ajustments are external, so the tube is better sealed.
I like the SUIT as a 4X scope. To me it is designed for the FAL, and because of this it functions better on one. For example the carry handle still works, and the ejecting brass doesnt ding it up.
Many don't like the SUIT because it's not "Ultra Mega Cool", just a relic of the 60's.
I think as shoters we tend to be conservative (not politically speaking) & the SUIT's off center prismatic system is definately "unique" so it seems a bit wierd. The upside-down post reticule is also an odd feature of this unit, but just think of it as a front sight post & the conversion is easy.
Mainly they don't seem to like the shorter eye relief.
I've never been bitten by mine, although some have, I don't know why I don't get hit, but I suspect it is not having a case of stock crawling.

The real issue is whether or not you'll want to use another optic such as an EOTech or longer range scope on a regular basis. If so, then you need the stanag to picatinny adapter. I've seen them, though I forgot if it was the Tapco site or CTD. Another possibility is gunpartsguy.com .
I was going to get the SUIT myself for authenticity, but did not want to be bothered with the adapter if I wanted to use a red dot. Actually, the main reason was that all the sites advertising the SUIT said "may not be as shown" or otherwise indicated it was banged up, etc. So, I dropped the idea and went with a picatinny rail cover and use my EOTech and bought a relatively inexpensive but fairly good for the purpose "standard" scope. It's a mixed blessing in that one FAL has the cover but I have been waiting a month for the cover for the other.
