I finally got the 3~9 X 40 Nikon on the arms #3 with the 3/4 rail. I used extended medium Weaver rings, and an AR15 riser to get enough eye relief, but it works!
It looks like the scope is touching the mount, but the mount is scalloped out in the center, so it is clear.

Here's a closer shot to show the details.

so you have shot over 400 rounds through it..and everything is still tight?..no side to side

Just wondering as my GP mount is a bit loose now; (

I'm not sure where you got the 400 rounds, as I've only put about 150 thru the mount, but that was with a different scope mounting system (but the same scope)
It was used when I got it, but again I don't have a round cont.
It is still firm with no side play. Maybe it's the spring steel insert rails rivetted into the aluminium cover that allow this?
From a quick look under the mount the rivets are still tight, and there is a short (1/4") section at the front that seems to be ajustable, due to a cut in the steel rail. That seems to indicate the ability to spread this section slightly if needed.
The reason I went back to the SUIT had nothing to do with the mounting setup, I just didn't like the full size scope on a the FAL.
