This is my first L1A1 type rifle, a Century. I am attempting to make it more attractive, and will hunt with it next fall. The finish is Brownell's aluma hyde II in dark park. I am installing wood as soon as it arrives. http://www.printroom.com/_vti_bin/ViewImage.dll?userid=Primative&album_id=58468&image_id=15&courtesy=1 http://www.printroom.com/_vti_bin/ViewImage.dll?userid =Primative&album_id=58468&image_id=15&courtesy=1

Looking Good! With some work the CAI rifles can look nice. How it does shoot now? Is the mount a TAPCO? I have a TAPCO mount and like it. My CAI STG rifle is looking better now. How durable is the paint on the mags? Does Brownell's ship fairly fast? Thanks great work. RM

Thanks for looking. It is a TAPCO mount. I have not mounted the scope yet, but it is the next step. The Brownells is great stuff. Be sure to get the Aluma Hyde II. It works great on the mags. It is rubbing some at the insertion point, but overall, the finish seems hard. It is on the 4th day of curing. It is probably as hard as it will get. Brownells shipped in two days to middle Tennessee!

Does your mount hold zero? Mine is really tight and I hope it stays put. Here is the scope set-up from my AR15. I will do about the same for the Century.... http://www.printroom.com/_vti_bin/ViewImage.dll?userid=Primative&album_id=58468&image_id=16&courtesy=1
