I understand that the flash hider is threaded onto the bipod which is threaded onto the barrel.

What's the direction on the threads?

Any suggestions on the best way to take them out?

The izzy hb uses right hand threads for both the coupler and the flash hider. You might want to apply a little heat to make it easier to get off. The flash hider has flats for a wrench but the coupler doesn't. To get mine off I used a det of aluminum vice jaws clamping the coupler and using the barrel flats to turn it with.chuck

Thanks Chuck - that's exactly what I needed to know.
:)

Did you rethread your barrel? or get a receiver threaded for it?

Don't forget the coupler has a little allen head screw indexing it to the barrel. Best to remove it before trying to unscrew the coupler! Agree that a little heat never hurts on stubborn threads.

PS--I rethread my Izzy barrels to standard Metric. Sure would suck if, needing to rebarrel a dedicated Izzy-thread receiver, all I've got are two dozen Metric barrels...
