View Full Version : Brownell's receiver wrench

Has anyone had any experience with the Brownell receiver wrench. The retail price is kind of high if you only need a single head, but it gets pretty reasonable if you need heads for more than one action.

I have the Brownells receiver wrench but don't have the head for an FAL. I use the Brownells barrel vise with the inserts for a sporter barrel and a Casey Elliot wrench. Works awesome. Just clamp the barrel vise down on something solid (like the table of a Bridgeport) and go for it. Don't have to worry about rounding flats on the barrel and you can apply enough torque to get it timed without removing material from the barrel shoulder.
