I tried to install my Hensoldt 4x24 scope to a Dutch STANAG base using the screws from the H&K claw mount. There is no way to effectively tighten the screws with a conventional flat head gunsmiths screw driver. The problem is that the mount design does not allow any room for a screw driver. Is there a special tool or different type of screw for this set up?
Thanks

Depending on clearance issues, sometimes a double headed offset screwdriver can be helpful; you know the ones that are a 90* S shape. A small, flat, slab handled ratchet screwdriver with a shorty bit is pretty handy too.
I find that once the screw is seated by hand/fingertips & turned a bit to avoid cross threading, an ALLEN WRENCH can be placed in the screw head slot horizontally & torqued down a little at a time until properly snug. The somewhat springy action as the wrench bends slightly helps to prevent over tightening. I think that this will help in even the tightest scenarios... IMHO

thats what I used, after grinding the phillips head off the other side.
Chapman - those yellow sets, have a little wratchiting wrench tha can be used with a removable tip/bit.
