STANAG FAL MOUNTS?

I recently bought a surplus Hendsoldt 4x24 scope on an H&K claw mount. I would like to mount it on my FAL however I don't know which mount to get. I have narrowed the selection down to a few and would appreciate suggestions and advice. I also need an illuminator for the Hensoldt reticle but I can't find any!

1) Sarco argentine stanag mount: Looks good (original) but I wonder if the screws will impact the bolt carrier. How sturdy is this mount?

2) Gun Parts Guy stanag mount: Can't beat the price (approx $21) not original looking but not goofy either.

3) Belgian FAL stanag mount: Coolest looking mount and original. However it is pricey, not available and may not be sturdy!

Can I expect decent accuracy out of these? Are there any better alternatives?

Sad thing, that you have already bought Hensoldt scope. Here is link, where you buy whole packet (Hensoldt Z24 scope and original STANAG mount..not FN marked)

Well if you don't have 500 Euro's which is $640 bucks plus what ever shipping costs the Argie mount looks pretty good. I did this myself with the same scope you have and it looks sweet. I also wanted to go with something that looked orignal but didn't break the bank.

Thanks for the link regarding the illuminator. The color of the reticle illumination is red. Is this a good color or is green or yellow better for night use?

Hey Folks-looking for some opinions ....

How would the Tapco STANAG mount [with their picatinny adapter] work for a red dot sight for my FAL? :fal:

Any other suggestions?

This is the Route I chose.. Actually purchased two of them. One may be for sale in the near future? Really a very nice mount IMO.
The Mounts are new but a Bit scuffed from rubbing together I guess.. Top covers I received look perfect. I sent mine out to ADAM to have it Parked so it would match the G-1 he just built for me.
Scope and original Claw mount came from a SWEET DEAL Dan had a Few weeks ago..
Very anxious to try this set-up out..
