I hava a SA58 Para with the Para H/D mount and read in the eotech info book I got with the sight that it will remount within 1 MOA. Does anyone know if this the straight story or is it sales B.S.

I haven't removed, completely removed that is, my eotech from my AR. But, I once had the screw rattle very loose after some mag dumps, I tightened it up and did not see any decernible shift in POA/POI. So I would say that it should be good to 1 MOA. I was having too much fun watching my co-workers faces to do any 100 yard groups, most of them are a lot nicer to me now:D

I have a StG58 on an Imbel rec'r. I use the Eotech 552 on a DSA Extreme Duty mount. I take teh Eotech off every time I put in the case. It returns close enough.

I have not measured exact accuracy, but I am putting 20 round groups on a paper plate at 150 yards before and after remounting the EoTech. I have even moved it from one slot to another on the scope mount and you can still hit 14" gongs at 100 yards. I noticed a large change in zero past that distance however when I moved the Eotech around.

Hope this is what you wanted. I cannot verify the 1MOA remount accuracy but I do know it is really close (less noticeable than my own inherent inaccuracy :) )

Don't know if it's exactly 1 MOA, but I fired a group at 100 yards, took the sight off and then remounted it, then fired another group. Both groups stayed within the head of a silouette target. This was on a 16" bbl Beowulf that really bangs things around with both recoil and muzzle blast.
