For one reason and another I wasnt able to hook up with a CS Gurkha Khuk- yet- but a friend put me on to a khuk "m44" ww2 version being sold off by Atlanta Cutlery. We all need more friends like that... anyway this knife was in dried out cosmo and looks a lot like the old AC Indian Khuk. It is marked with a "V" and a 44.. and some other letters too smudged over to read. When cleaned up the thing looks barely used altho the grip pieces have small dings and chips. Grind marks visible and needed attention to the edge, altho it was far better than those on the AC Indians, as I recall.
One thing of note, this blade feels much lighter in the hand than the AC version... weighs 1 lb 5 ozs. 1/4 inch thick... very fast in the hand but I wonder about the striking power as I am used to a heavier blade.
It came without a sheath so that is my project for the day.
