The perennial favorite lubricant for the M1 rifle has been "Lubriplate" (still available from Brownell’s) or a lubricant called "Plastilube". Both of these would withstand a rainstorm and were long lasting. Simple gun oil is not satisfactory, and most gun grease does not hold up well.

The drill defines several dozen specific points in the Garand to be greased.
Are there any similar grease specified code of arms for FAL's? I know AR's and grease are anti-cohabitiational.

I can't comment on "specified", but mine gets grease on the carrier rails and the pocket on the hammer where the hammer spring rod knob resides. Everything else that gets lubed gets oil.
