Small generator on sale at Pepboys

I picked up one of these, I have a much larger one for the house but these little ones are good for spot power. PepBoys auto parts warehouses.

These are no different from other Chinese made small gens, but the company (Eastern Tool) has a very big US corporate presence and much better warranty support -- They replaced an air compressor that failed after a month and gave me no hassles. This little one is also one of the quietest I've seen for the small, cheap ones. Honda has a 1000w class generator which is quieter, but it goes for $500+

The oil mix is easy, the cap has a measuring cup and a filter-neckfilter. Its light enough that you can pour in the 2-cycle oil and then fill it up with gas and shake the whole thing to mix it.

I took mine out this weekend and it started right up.

The whole thing is made in China, but its got a 1 yr warranty here in the US.

It's cheap and reliable.
