I have been reading on several forums of people getting ready for who know's what. Several are stocking medical supplies "just in case" and my question is this. Having the supplies is good, do you know how to use them? What is the proper way to open a sterile pack of 4X4 and place it on the wound, how do you then secure the wound? What is the proper way to take off and dispose of your rubber gloves safely? Get the picture? Supplies are good, training is better. Years ago I recieved medical training and still remember a great deal of it. Can do an I.V. if needed and suture. Better to have it and not need it, then to need it and not have it. If you are not trained, check with the local red cross or community college. Take the EMT course and save a life.
