stupid question for you guys...

I just bought a GPG tapco made scope mount and when
I went to mount the previously purchased red dot scope I noticed it was a smaller dovetail (weaver).....Now I need a red dot that will fit on a Picatinny mount.....any suggestions in the 50 buck range?

If its a first generation mount then it is out of spec. You wont find anything to mate to that. I sent mine back to Tapco and they returned to me a brand new one of the late generation. Very good service from Tapco.

Well, when I say it's smaller,..I mean alot...I bought a tapco stripper clip mount that is on sale at Gun Parts Guy's site.....

The red dot I have is like half the size of the mount dovetail.....
The red dot looks like it would fit on my 308 bolt action dovetail...:?
