Anyone ever have any drama w/ the 30 rd. Bren mags in an FAL? Have one that will not function w/ over 15 rds in it. Appears the spring tension is overcoming the recoil spring. Fire one round and it short strokes. Suggestions? Thanks for looking!

My Bren mag works 100%. No such problems. 20 rounder does not do that? Gas problem?

Are you guys saying Bren mags fit and work in a FAL, presumably inch patt?
Or is this where the 30 rd. FAL mags really come from?

7.62mm Bren gun mags fit inch pattern rifles with no mods. Just make sure they're the 7.62mm ones and not the .303 pieces.
By gringing the lug on the front of the mag, they can be made to fit & function in metric guns.

Are these mags available for a reasonable price?
No. 7.62 Bren mags are $60 and up. The .303 Bren mags(which will not work) are $5.

www.gunthings.com (http://www.gunthings.com) has them a little bit cheaper.....look under "mags"

The 7.62 mm Bren mags should work with no problems at all, fully loaded with 30 rnds. Check your gas system and the recoil springs (ensure there isn't too much gunk on the springs)
Note the difference between the .303" and 7.62 mm Bren mags.
