OK guy's, I have a Leopold 1.5X5ir on A ARMS #35 mount with med rings. This is on a DSA top cover. The scope and mount worked fine on my AR-15, but is a little high on the FAL. what is a good cheekpiece that will get my head up, but will not move around?
Thanks

DSA sells a cheekpiece with a couple of inserts you can add to raise your cheekweld. It is attached to the stock with two straps of velcro. I have one I wanted to use on my para, but it didn't work very well in that configuration. I believe Blackhawk or Eagle makes some type of cheekpiece as well. I have one on my .308 PSS I like pretty well. :fal:

Cabellas also has a velcro type for about $30.00.
I have one & like it. It also kind of matches the stock finish.

I know that Centerfire Systems has a bad rep around here but their latest catalog has a FAL cheekrest listed for $9.97. Part #36UNI-CK.

I used a piece of close-celled water pipe insulation... the tube type that comes split with contact adhesive on both side... cut to fit, pull covers off adhesive, press sides together. Used that Rail rest over the foam. 56mm objective scope clears the Para rear sight, and the height of the cheekrest is perfect.

The foam under the Railrest prevents the Railrest from sliding around... AND raises the height.

For the DSA X-stock, I purchased a CAR-15 cheekrest intended to snap over the tube of the adjustable buttstock, then opened up the center until it fit over the DSA stock. Epoxy'd it into place. (Sorry... no image available.)

I have one of those I have never mounted. Just be aware they mount with screws to the top of your stock.
