Anyone have any experience with the Bushnell Holosight? It looks like a direct copy of the EOtech one. Just curious as to utility. I am looking for a decent but budget conscious optic for my SA58 Carbine.

It doesn't look like a Eotech, it is one, minus the armor shield. SAme thing, same factory...

Had one on my G1 16" Kombat Karbine. Worked great and held up to a lot of abuse. It broke when the rifle fell and the scope hit the corner of an ammo box. Sent it to Bushnell knowing that it wasn't a warranty issue. They sent me back a nice letter saying it was so old that they no longer had parts to fix it but would replace it with a brand new one for less than $200. I now have a new one and it is better than ever. You can't go wrong with one as long as you don't go into combat. If you do then get the EOTechs because they are armored.

Thanks. I am not going into combat in the near future, as far as I know, so I think about getting it. Maybe make some armour for it with sheet metal later if it works out. I just need a fast optic for some local rifle matches on Friday nights. Bunch of MicroSoft millionaires dressing up and playing SWAT with their Tacticaled out ARs (more accessories on those guns then in Imelda Marco's closet). I figure I will go and play in blue jeans and show them what an ex-marine can do with a basic set FAL carbine set up. LOL.

i had a bushnell holosight on one of my G3's great sight. but go with the newer holosights if you can swing it. like the other guys said, the armor shield will save you some grief should anything fall or get dropped on it
