Eotec Mounting Position

Where is the best position to mount an Eotec on a DSA receiver cover mount? Being that eye relief is not an issue, is it a matter of personal preference or is it better to have closer to your eye or further away?

Pretty much personal preference as well as rail access. A lot of guys like them out near the end of the receiver or even on top of the handguards. I prefer mine in about the middle of the top cover. YMMV.

I agree with Fastprofessor, personal preference all the way. Depends on how much of your target you want in the screen.

The closer the sight is to your eyes, the more of the target that will be visable thru the screen.

Mines about 2'' in front of the sight.
