View Full Version : My handmade Christmas knife.

I wish that I could post pics of this nice knife that my Sister gave me for Christmas.

She knows a Vietnam vet that has made a few knives. She begged this one off of him. He would hardly accept payment for it but my sis insisted.

It has a genuine stag handle that has a pistol grip drop to it.
I think that the blade must have been made from an old file.

The blade is a sort of bowie style and has a blood groove on either side.

The blade is about 4.5" to 5" long and has some cool pitting in it.

The sheath is handmade as well although not nearly as nicely made as the knife.

I love it and will pass it down to one of my kids someday..it is that nice at least to me!

It fits the hand extremely well and is very well balanced. I would love to learn how to make a knife like this. It has sparked my interest! :biggrin:
