What is the best way for me to finish the ironwood from VOW. A little "how to" info would be very helpful. I dont nessesarily want the wood to be REALLY Dark. Thanks in advance.

I used just a little bit of Minwax Cherry stain and 4 hand rubbed coats of Tru-Oil. My wood colors didn't match up exactly at first but they are pretty close now.

On my first set of Ironwood I only used 4 coats of Tru-Oil (no stain).

I hope this helps you out!

Beautiful color. I was going to try a walnut stain to match the clor, but the cherry looks really nice.

Thanks for sharing the tip.

Mahogany stain also looks good with Ironwood. Just another option. After the stain I also used tru-oil (several coats) and it too looks good, but no pictures.
