I was just wondering if anyone had tried an EO Tech on their FAL? I just got word my Para Kit is on the way from DSA and am now thinking about getting one.

Kind of thinking about getting the AA model, but probably not the night vision capeable version.

Anyway I'd be glad to hear anyones thoughts or experiances with them, including where to get a good price on one.

Thanks

Jon

I got the AA battery model and love it. With a DSA mount, it makes the rifle pretty damned heavy, but it's well worth it. Maybe I need the workout anyway.

It will take a little getting used to. Whether you mount it forward, or towards the rear of the rifle, or what adjustment you set the brightness to is personal preference, IMHO. As long as you can see the dot inside the recticle, you are going to hit what you are aiming at

Sights in easy, just like a rifle scope. Just adjust which way you want to move the POI.

It works great. I did end up moving it farther back on the mount because brass was whacking the bottom of the EoTech.

I think I've shot that rifle before....Banner Road, El Reno?

Perhaps when this rifle belonged to Sumoj275, but I haven't been up shooting that way with it. I bought it from him and added the ARMS and EoTech.

I had one on my 16" G1 carbine. Only after 5k+ rounds did an ammo box take out the sight and require it to be repaired.

Yep, he was gracious enough to let me fire a few rounds downrange with it. Sweet rifle.

It is a very nice rifle and I can ring the 200 yard 18" gong at the Tri-City range with every shot through an entire mag. That folder locks up solid as a rock.

Sadly, I recently sent it off to AZEX to have it refinished. After I had it for 6 months that gorgeous finish Norrell applied started peeling off all on its own. Also, I was a little over-zealous installing a new LS and dinged the receiver.

I know Derek will make it right.

I have the AA night vision capable one on my STG 58. I absolutely love it. It is extremely quick and I can group better with it than I could with the iron sights. I highly recommend this sight. Also PM Bigant about em. He sells these at great prices.
