Did someone here mention that there were solar/manual crank Ni-Cad battery chargers available? If so, could someone provide a link?

Thanks,

krf

The site at the link above requires a minimum $35.00 order, the charger is only $17.99 so you must spend an additional $17.50 to order from them. Personally I think this is cheesy business practice...

So if you dont need $35.00 worth of stuff to order there, you can get teh same charger at this site below for $21.99. And who knows, maybe this site will even match price if you call them!

They also sell one without the sun meter for $16.99...

Nicads get a "memory" after awhile and won't hold a charge worth crap especially if you don't use them much. Get lithium ion batteries and they will last easily 10 times as long.

You can erase the memory in a battery by hitting it with some current before recharging. The amount of the charge depends on the battey size.
