mating an imbel metric upper to a G 1 lower

i have an L1A1 with a metric upper and an inch lower, ive noticed that there are many more new parts available for a metric rifle than an inch, i found a G1 kit for 99.00 and wanted to know if the G1 lower will mate to my upper. any help would be greatly appreciated as i am new to the fal rifle thanx danny

Will fit right on there. Lines won't match up exactly, but will function just fine. HTH.
