Can someone give the advantages of buying the ML3 rather than the ML2? Is it really worth the extra $$$?
Thanks

The main difference between the two is battery life - 10,000 hours on the ML2 vs 50,000 hours on the ML3. The ML3's also come with the outer rubber protective cover ($30) which the ML2's do not have.

Also if I'm not mistaken you can get the ML3 in either a 2MOA Dot or 4MOA Dot

That is correct also. The ML2's are 4moa dots only, the ML3's come in either 2moa or 4moa dot sizes.

Are both models compatible with night-vision devices?

The ML versions are not NV compatable; the M2 & M3 models are.

I have decided to go with the Aimpoint M2. Maybe sometime down the road I will equip myself with a PVS-14. That way I can run my tractor at night in blackout drive.
