OK I don't know if this qualifies for the WECSog or not but whilst trying to remove the stuborn front site post on my G1 I broke my front site adjusting tool. Tried to use a pair of needle nose and it wont budge. I have started to soak it in Ballistol and will try it tomorrow. Any suggestions?

Try a little heat after you soak it with something like Liquid Wrench, it's always worked for me! Also I made a front sight post tool out of a piece of 1/2" CR and a couple 1/16" roll pins that works good on its own!

Good Luck

What kind of front sight tool did you break?

Where is it binding? The disk or the threads?

The one I got from DSA looks so robust that I think the sight disk would break first.

Believe it or not, it was the DSA tool. I broke one of the prongs off and I think it is still in the site adjustment hole.

I have no idea where it is binding. I can't get it to move! Maybe I'll try the heat trick.

I got one of mine loose with a small hammer and a small punch, and didn't even F it up!
Just be careful. :)

Thanks to Tex762, I was ablt to get the front site post out. I really appreciate the other suggestion I just did't want to heat it up.

I guess I ama member of the WECSOG. I spilled a little blood on this one! I was trying to use my needle nose pliers to loosen the site and of course they slipped and hit my other hand. Not bad. A mere flesh wound.

Am I now accepted in the WECSOG?

Thanks again guys!
