That firefight lasted 14 days and nights.
2,750,000 rounds were fired
and the ONLY casualty was when a 'warrior' tripped over an empty beer can and scraped his knee.

"Phat bammer swagger" and "soul train".
Noticed the phat bammer swagger first. Where the hell are they getting the ammo for those things.

There is an American flag in one of the pictures.
Are we sure they weren't taken in one of our Southern US cities?
Like post flood New Orleans? That might explain the floatation vest.

I posted that link last night on SurvivalBlog.com. It is positioned just after a sad story about Zimbabwe's ongoing descent into the abyss. I figured that my readers would need some tragicomic relief.

a good laugh, and I'm just ecstatic that what ever role models these folks are looking up to, that they'll continue to emulate as hard as they can.
especially for the survivability of folks such as the US military who may be downrange from these yahoos.
taking four or five steps back, it's pathetically sad. looking at the 'fashion statements', we're just talking kids with guns. all we can hope is they'll kill off each other as quickly as possible, without involving the rest of us.
as much as I value life, I don't think theirs are worth much.

I hate to say this, but there are many shots from Vietnam showing US troops firing thier M-16s in many the same ways as these bozos (though I cant say I saw any in red life preservers! But the real reason he is wearing it is for the color, that group used red to signify friendlies. I guess they are related to the bloods)...
In Vietnam and especially in the battle of Hue, there were many Marines firing full auto with the barrel kicking up high, full auto from behind walls with the weapon raised high and turned sideways. In street fighting firing one handed when pulling wounded back along the streets...
I guess when its put back into context it isnt so funny anymore. Especially when the US Army estimated it took 200,000 rounds to achieve a kill with the M16 in the war. And this was by a highly trained army, not a bunch of idiots running around the streets like these guys.
So for 2,750,000 rounds expended, our Vietnam era army would have achieved 13.75 kills...

is it a good idea to wear high vis colors in combat?

Did you see anywhere where I said these bozos had any good ideas? Frankly they are as dangerous to themselves as they are to the enemy...

Looking through the pictures I'm seeing a lot of squad/gang/whatthehellever specific colorings- loud and visible to coordinate or probably just avoid shooting at one another.
