a nice buck

heading outta the field yesterday, talking to the g man, i messed up a shot at a coyote..
guess i had a round chambered already in splatter and short stroked another and got a jam..that's the only thing i can think of since 2 rounds were jammed in the ejection port area or ??? don't know ? i don't usually keep one in the spout so i don't know what happened...

anyways, here's a ic of a nice buck just lounging at the edge of a field...the rut is on, so stay tuned for more pics..
oh, and i saw a 31 and a 1/4 inch wide one, that some guys got in my work area..forgot all about the camera,,nice buck, a bit thin horned but wide.....

Nice looking buck. Seems to have a decent spread.

I hope to be posting pics myself of a nice buck I have patterned lately. Seems he has a taste for over-ripe pears right at dusk. Iffin he's still there when I get back from the TX shoot, I'm bringing him home. If I do, he'll be my personal best.

I blew a shot this morning.

Hunting from tree stand with an M-38 as I have been on a C&R hunting thing the last couple of years.

Just getting light and I got into position to shoot. Was straining my eyes, shivering from the cold, waited too long, and pulled the shot over the does back.

Enormous flash blinded me, too. This is my first miss in my short hunting career. At least it was a clean miss and not a wounding.
