I sent a brand spankin' new Becker Knife and Tool 7 inch fighting knife along with my best friend to Iraq last year. I just got off the phone with him, since he's just gotten back home, and -among other things- asked him how his knife did.
He said that he was surprised he hadn't killed it, that he had broken LOTS of windows with it, dug quite a few holes with it, pried on everything under the sun, used it as a box cutter nearly every day for the last year, punched holes in the side of a car, and on one occasion- used it as a screwdriver. He's spending the next week with his wife/kid, but after that we'll get together and I might can get some pictures of the thing for anyone who's been looking at a BKT.
If it can keep up with him (no oil, no sharpening, no quarter given to sane and responsible use) it is indeed a field-grade bargain at $40.
