This trip starts a the mouth of the Rogue in Gold Beach Oregon, and goes 52 miles up to Paradise lodge and back for a 104 mile round trip. Cost is $80 for an adult. I would say this is one of the better adventures that Oregon has to offer. It is just a fantastic trip.
If some of the pictures seem a little hazy, it is because of smoke from a forest fire that has been burning for two months in the wilderness area on the upper Rouge.

yup, did that several years ago, we stayed the night at the lodge (awesome place) for some reason on the way back we were the only folks on the boat (my fam and I)

We convinced the captain to open her up some, fricken awesome is all I can say.

I also have taken the Jet boats (Hells Gate Excursions0 from Grants Pass to the entrance of the canyon, not as exciting as the water was low, but still fun.

I think the Rogue is the best overall river in Oregon. I would give #2 to the Deschutes. I must say that i haven't been on the Owyhee river yet. I have heard it is a real kick in the pants.
