Boy i wish i was at my parents house this evening. There is a big thunder and lightning show going on tonight. I always loved it when we got the good lightning along the coast.

You all are making me home-sick! Used to live on the beach in Clatsop county. Other than the 80 inches of rain a year and the fact that I am still trying to get the mold out from behind my ears it is a great place. But then again there ain't quite anything like the winter storm watching and the fact there is no land until you get to asia going west bound.

Nothing like a nice lake less than a mile from the Pacific.

Here's a pic I took last year looking towards where you took yours. Nothing beats the Oregon Coast!

I love the coast in the winter. Summer is nice but the sheer power of it in the winter is what I used to live for.

Vince,

Those were snapped with my old camera, a Kodak DX 3900, 3.2 mega pixel. I now have an Olympus Camedia C-7000 zoom 7.1 mega pixel. I'm still struggling with the new camera.

They are very nice. You do good work.

I am looking at the Nikon D70. I found a Nikon DX1 for 2000.00, but don't want to drop that much. I have heard that the D100 is the same as the D70, but has a metel body.
