Next week they will be done.... going to send them out for parkerizing. They look like the ones other people have for sale..... except better.

They are made from cold rolled 12g steel and are laser cut. I have been working out the dimentions and have had several samples burned for testing. They look great!

Price should be in the $10-$11 range shipped!

Once this initial run is sold off they will only be available from GPG or Rooster and they will probably in the $14+ range + shipping.

Anyone interested please add yourself to the thread.... stating how many you want.

They should be ready for shipping in approximatly two weeks. When they are ready I will post pictures and payment instructions.

Is the slot wide enough to properly insert a Rooster sling? The one I have from a "popular manufacturer" requires the Rooster sling to be scrunched and crammed through so it doesn't slide properly.

probably not. Rooster Slings are wider than the average sling. i will however try to make the slot as wide as i can.

here is the deal on the para gig. if you fancy yourself a dirty modifiler with a grinder and a file and ten minutes for spare. this part is easily modified for a para lower. although the lug in the para butt engages the lower at a depth of approx 1/8" less it still works. i would recommend drilling and tapping the butt block for a stud mounted sling swivel, but hey whatever floats your battleship!

Heck.. if im sober enough to drive... possibly start shipping tomorrow or the next day, depending on how late we fire up the park tanks.... i forsee actual shipping beginning thursday of this week to all that are listed paid in post showing who has paid, i will also ship to those whose PMO are recieved tomorrow and thursday. after that, i also forsee (spelling) that i will probably wait for several orders to pile up and ship the second go round next week around wednesday the 18th... depending.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I recieved one of Fry's "Sling-Rings" today, and I am not impressed, and wish I had not purchased it. I have one of Dave's "Sling-Thingys" and there is a big difference in fit and finish.
A. The steel on Fry's is not as thick.
B. The finish on Frys is not half as nice, which I discovered after cleaning a bunch of yellow crap (park salts?) off of it.
C. The edges are not cut crisp.
D. When I purchased the "Sling-Thingy" it was less expensive than Frys "Sling Ringy"

The above I could live with, the next gripe I really have a problem with.

F. The height of Fry's is the same as the back of the reciever, NOT the height of the back of the reciever PLUS the sight base, or the height of the front of the buttstock. This leaves a gap under the rear sight in front of the buttstock, it is a really crappy fit.

I recommend that anyone intrested in a mid-mounted sling get the Schenider Machine "Sling-Thingy" and avoid Frys current offering.

Those sling plates arrived today. They are very nicely made. Finish is perfect. These will be a neat addition to my full stock rifles. I highly reccommend Fry and his products. Thanks-

Bwana John, i sent you a "send it back email" on May 26th.

for the record you have yet to contact me.

It is quite clear to me what your agend is. The negative review and failure to respond to my email.

and thats all i have to say about that.
