Shot a bird with a 10.5" beard this morning, the tom's were chasing each other in a circle, pretty funny to watch. My son shot a bird with a 9" beard mid morning and we saw several more birds, some from the road just going to eat.
Would post a picture if I could!

to you and your son.
10.5 beard ...........nice !!:D
My son and I are still at it with the bow........lotsa jakes and a few 6" -8" beards, but no opportunities at a big gobbler yet. With shotgun season quickly approaching, probably take the next best opportunity on whatever to get a bird bagged and tagged for the deep fryer !! Then go at it with the 870 .........:D
Congrats again on you and your son's success !!

Shot another gobbler last Sat. 8 3/4" beard and 1" spurs, called him in and he gobbled all the way in up and over the hill. Shot through a small hole in the brush and took out both eyes, sure love that Heavy Shot put him over my shoulder to carry him in and covered my pants with blood
