Well, there's a LITTLE more to it than just covering the lenses and blast!!

I take it apart as far as I can without disturbing teh seals. I check it out and remove any type of exterior dings I can. I found a really unique way of covering the optics--and no, I'm not telling.

I blast then Duracoat. I blast the steel rings, calibration knobs, location springs and mount--these are parkerized.

Then I paint all that bitchin' lettering. MAN--does that take time.

ANyway, it all goes back together and checked out--then out to Ammunitionstore to be delivered to you.

They come out REALLY nice!!

No rubber lens caps...the originals were rotted and in poor condition. Robert Custer is scrampbling around searching for US caps to fit. It will come with something in the way of lens caps and will ship in the original case.

Since I already have 2 Hensoldts, I'll chime in that clarity is comparable to my Leupold VX3, Butler Creek small scope bikinis fit if you do not care for the caps hanging on, ARMS makes some very nice weaver/stanag adaptor mounts to migrate these to your FAL, and you just never, ever seem to read a report of these scopes breaking.

Hey--

To those of you sitting on the fence on these, trying to decide, "Gee Bluto, should I piss my wife off by buying one of these scopes from FWRA?"

The answer is a resounding YES!! I just got done duracoating these tonight--and considering how bad the weather is here in NE Ohio--believe me when I say I FROZE doing these. But they are in the oven right now. I've already parked the mounts and small parts. I'll be painting the lettering on the scopes and calibration disks tomorrow sometime.

But the best part is they came out OUTSTANDING!! I'll try to post a pic tomorrow of them--or I'll send it to Mark and let him do it. Either way--once you get ahold of one of these, you are gonna be contacting me about refinishing your rifle to look this good.

Obviously, I'm tickled as to the outcome.

These are only offered in green and tan. If you want black...the only option is the unissued G3 scope on Ammunitionstore.com at a much higher price. $499.95 plus shipping. Or you can do their "good" condition scope which could have some finish wear but the optics are fine....it's $369.95 on their website.

Honestly...green...brown...both look brand new and are finished in DuraCoat with flip up lens covers at $370 and $8 shipping. Hey...some of the European military scopes out there are green or tan and folks install on AR's, and guns of all types.

Sorry...but these are the bargain optics for members on this Carbine sale AND you save $109.

Let me know if you want one of the brown or green scopes. I'll send you a Tropical Green Carbine and the problem is solved. Just e-mail me and let me know one way or the other. At this point...I have no guarantee any black guns will come in but Tropical Green is standard.

The only options available are the ones I listed. Sorry...but those are it. Maybe you could post a WTB just for the scope or try selling your mount. Or you may be able to adapt another scope to your mount with proper stanag screws and flat top ARMS mount. I'm just afraid if you go that route you'll end up spending more money.

I'll ask Robert tomorrow if he has parts....like just a scope...but I really doubt it. If so...I'll e-mail you. Also...any other questions please e-mail me rather than posting questions here. Quicker. :)
