Still working through some kit belonging to a mate of mine. Have a couple of Aussie packs to sell.

First is a 1970s/80s vintage OD Green "Nam Pack" used but serviceable condition. **** SOLD***** :)

The second is what I believe remains the currant issue Aus Cam field pack. For all intensive purposes it is new. It has been setup for use with loose straps taped down etc. $110US plus postage.

I am away now for a few days but feel free to e-mail or PM me. Have have or will take any other pics desired.

All the best.

Is the Auscam field pack different than the rucksack? I'd swear I've got the large pack (equvalent to the US Large ALICE or Brit Bergen) around here somewhere and I seem to remember it being a little different.

Too much junk too many crates.

Any chance you could find me a good deal on an Aussie Pattern 07 SMLE bayonet?

slickrick...PM sent on the shipping.

Packratt....over the past ten years or so there have been a number of variations on the theme when it comes to Aussie packs. A number of units still (or up until very recently) issue OD green ALICE packs. I don't think we have done an issue version of the Brit PLCE pack (my personal pack is an OD Brit made version I would not part with) however they are available in AusCam through the specialist suppliers. Aussie 07 pattern Bayonets are available out here but the $$ just keep going up and up. Not sure there is a deal to be had on them. I have a mate with one (not for sale) who was offer in the order of $400 for it sight unseen.

As for the floors......I am told that the timber there is around 70 or 80 years old. When we bought the place (last year) we had them refinished before moving in. They are great, they do show every scratch and mark though. If nothing else they make a great background for pics.

Thanks for the info on the bayonet. I think my nephew will have to make do with a Wilkenson on his Aussie #1Mk3.

Now I need to go on a ruck hunt. I see my pair of CFP-90s, my Brit Bergen, my ALICE is up in the storage shed, and the cheap backpacking pack is on the porch. What the heck did I do with the Aussie?

I've been trying to find one of the bayos for a while and if you can find one under $395 you are doing well.
As far as I am aware airborne units are issued with ALICE packs, specops can use whatever they like as long as it is para compatible (is that spelt right?)
The green pack was issue up til 1990 odd, then an AUSCAM design that was slightly larger but with no external pockets til 95, then followed by the current pack which is what you see here.
It holds about 40 litres, not sure of exact litreage but just less than a large ALICE. The outside pockets will hold a water bottle or a 24hr CRP (just). It is split into two seperate main compartments seperated by a zippered flap. There is a small radio compartment that just holds a PRC25.
Sorry Andy, back to you.

(Deleted some parts 'cos I stuffed up and didn't like what I wrote)
Sorry packratt.:)

I didn't say what do I do with the pack. I said what did I do with the pack. It's in hiding right now and I can't find it. That Auscam's really blended in with its surroundings.

Seeing as how Andy was selling that Auscam pack I'm sure you could sweet talk him out of it.
