Ordered some ripple sole combat boots from IMS.
When I called and ordered the man on the line assured me they were in stock and ready to go. I ordered on a Fri and he said they would go on the Mon. So I ordered.
By Thurs of the next week nothing has gone from the account so I call to check that everything os ok. Speak to a real nice lady but she tells me they are not in stock and won't be until another week.
Thurs of the next week I call again and its the original man but he says they won't be in until Tues of the next week.
Tues of the next week I call and get the man again and he tells me they will be in by Thurs.
Thurs I call back and the man tells me that they will be in on Fri (the next day). I asked if this was true cause I had waited a few weeks for these boots now. This seemed to upset him and he told me that he is not in the habit of phoning his suppliers every day to see where my boots were.
The next day (Fri) I call and get the nice lady. I guess I have a bad mark beside my name now because she tells me they aren't in and to be honest they are not gonna get any more in my size ever again.
OK says I, and cancel my order.
IMS website says leave four weeks between order and delivery but they told me they were in stock and would ship within a few days. Thats the reason I ordered from them and thats where I feel I have been let down.
During the time I was messing with them I was going past the cavalry store outside Gate 4 of Fort Campbell but did not stop in to buy them there cause I felt sure they would be coming from IMS in just a few days. Wish I had now, would have saved myself the agravation.
I hope this is not normal for this supplier but for my part I will not mess with them again.
