Foot fetish requires Aussie advice

Found a pair of WWII brown ankle boots with brass cleats in size 6-5 for $125 Aussie. Any idea what size 6-5 means to a Yank? I have a pair of Brit ammunition boots size 8M that fit quit nicely. If the 6-5 is really a 6 1/2 on the same sizing scale these things must have been made for a cub scout.

I have generally found US shoes/boots are smaller than Aussie. I for example wear 9.5 Aussie and 10.5 in Danners. where are they located mate I may be able to sus them out for you...??

Edited to add that 6.5 is small no doubt about it. Probably belonged to the "Camp Comfort Boy".
