This is about 99% a picture hosting test. Having trouble with my server and pics don't reliably show. My computer picks them up OK, but what about yours? If you can see the pic of the AK's, please post a yes or no. I can't seem to get any photo's to upload at huntingpictures.com either http://community.webshots.com/storage/1/v5/2/89/3/33628903MhSCgq_ph.jpg
If you can't see the pic, here's a direct link,......I think. http://community.webshots.com/storage/1/v5/2/89/3/33628903MhSCgq_ph.jpg

No. And the link responds "You don't have permission to access /storage/1/v5/2/89/3/33628903MhSCgq_ph.jpg on this server."

This isn't some tricky way to draw hits on the ad,.......it seems to be the only way I can show the pic. I'm going to work on figuring it out again tomorrow. :D

I like!!! How long did ATF take to approve the AOW build? They give you any hassle?

I had a C2 gunsmith buddy build them, so registering is just filing a form after completion,.....no problem. Transfering to me did take a while and ATF messed it up in a unique way.

Form3 to me was filed by FAX 11/7/01 and approved 2/23/02. 3 1/2 months is a long time for a form3, but with the holidays and anthrax scare, about normal(I received a whole stack of approved forms with this shipment and they've all gone thru the anthrax cooker). There are two AOW's in the pic. Instead of ATF keeping one copy of each, my buddy received two approved form3's for one serial number and none for the other. That took another month to sort out.

Sparky,
no need to weld a drum in on a AOW AK.

Cool guns Kev!

Yep, 75rd Chinese drum and they're still detachable. AOW's don't have to comply with either the AW ban(since they aren't rifles or pistols)and they don't have to comply with the US parts count(since they aren't 'sporting'). You can have flash hiders, bayo lugs, etc on them. You can't have a stock, folding or other-wise, since then it would become a rifle(and an SBR at that). Nice thing about it is that they transfer on a $5 tax, but you do still need to do the entire form4 transfer,....pics and prints and CLEO sign-off w/background check,......along with the 3-6 month wait.
