Can anyone help ID these military holsters ??
The first seems like a HP holster, very similar to a Canadian or Brit. holster but with a few differences. Waxed canvas type material instead of canvas, velcro attachment belt strap instead of wire hanger, metal liner riveted in mag pocket and a small pouch (for sectional cleaning rod?) sewn on under the mag pocket and extending reward. I also have a few pouches and a canteen cover that match this. They came from my uncle who served in Viet Nam, Rhodesia, S. Africa and who know's where. No markings I can find.
The second seem's to be for a large frame revolver, BRIGHT green canvas, green hardware, 3 pockets on the outside and comes with a short wrist lanyard for the pistol. Also no markings that I can find.
Thanks for any help, Cheers, YOOO VINNY

IMHO - The second holster appears to be for a flare gun and three flares.

Could be I guess :? But the pockets seem different sizes, maybe different kinds of flares? The first two are the same width but different lengths/depths, the last is both longer and much narrower than either of the others.

Have you tried a Hi Power in the other one?
Flare gun seems like a good guess on the nice one. Any markings?

I'm 99.9% sure the first one is for a HP and is from some commonwealth country. I've got a dozen Brit. and Canadian ones that are almost a dead match, except for the differences I noted. I'd just like to know for sure where or by who this particular style was issued or made. I've never seen another quite like it and was hoping someone else had :)

The first one is definitely Hi Power, looks exactly like my old issue holster (Aus). Mine didn't have markings, but some of the others just had the crows foot DOD mark. Didn't have any velcro though.
The second one may be for a Webley .455, not real sure, appears to be Commonwealth.
Fat lot of help that was wasn't it?

The first one is a Canadian 82 Pattern Webbing holster for the Hi Power pistol. The Canadian's are big on Velcro with the 82 pattern webbing.
not sure about the other.

Second one is a Danish issue holster for the m/49 (SIG P210) 9mm pistol.

Thanks Anders :)
I've seen a similar holster that was actually a conversion of a Brit Webley holster and was refered to as a Danish M49. I discounted the description, thinking the Danish M49 was the Hovea copy of the M45 and not a Sig pistol with the same model number, thanks for the clarification.
The 3 different size pockets on the holster has me wondering what they were originally designed to hold, can you lend any insight ??
