The Argies sure seemed to come up with some real mix n match combos. I have an FMAP lower similar to thye one pictured, except it is type 3. Unlike FN, the FMAP's I've seen withtype 3 uppers all had type 3 matcing lowers. I guess they had some fixation about the uppers and lowers matching, I'm sure the cut wasn't for lightening purposes.

some of the imbel kits i;ve seen,,,type 3 lowers,type 1 uppers,type 1 upper,no magwell cuts,,,type 1 upper & lowers,,type 1 lower,type 3 uppers

I was looking at an imbel kit and the receiver was a type 1 in the front and type 3 in the rear. Lightening cuts from the LS forward but none from the LS back. Is that common?

Yes. Here is a pic. STG on top and Imbel below. It is actually not a complete type one cut up front, but close.

I guess this is type 2.75

Something caught my eye, It looks like it has the upper notched to use a stripper clip top cover.

Relief cut on right rear is to ease installation of top cover. If that is what you refer to.
