If that first "model" really is a troop, some one is going to get a tongue lashing. Even my anti mother-in-law knows to KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER........

IMHO I think the patern and less color variance sucks. I'll never own em.

Gotta keep up with the Marines, I guess?

Nice camoflage...not. I like how well hidden the guy in the middle photo is when against the woodland background
Why don't they just wear battleship grey BDU's. It accomplishes about the same.

The two Marine MARPAT color scemes are FAR superior to this screw-up. In a forested environment are troops are at a higher risk wearing this new BDU. The dumb ass that thought this one color fits all strategy should be fired.

They showed the new uniform on FOX news this morning (I think) and stated that the same uniform is for desert AND woodland. I looks a bit silly with the subdued colors and the green and black nametapes, they really stand out. If you think this is bad, just wait until the Air Force unveilsching the new atrocity they have developed. Green and blue Tiger stripes! They blend really well in a Crayola factory, but not much else. I will try to find a link to a pic of that. If they are not concerned with camo, why not let everyone wear jeans? We could all wear matching polo shirts! Like the old saying goes, If it ain't broke.....hell, never mind.

Looks like it would be an OK pattern for the semi-arid plains and southwest. Not great, just ok. As for the forest, worthless. The colors arn't sharp enough so all you see is a big blob. No break-up. Again, worthless.
As an asside, nice job tayloring those unis. Those troopers look like they're wearing my Uncle Bubba's P.J.s. I would be embarassed.

Looks like something the local paintballers would wear. The old compared to that would be just fine with me.

Did ya notice that in the air force article they interviewed only 1 guy and about 6 women? He did not seem to like and the woman seemed to love it.

Are they purposely trying to make the solider STAND OUT to help improve the enemies aim?
I think this has to be some sort of a joke….this pattern TOTALLY SUCKS! Maybe we should send who ever came up with this color scheme over to the “REAL TREE” folks as an apprentice or something so that they could learn something about CAMOUFLAGE. And probably should also send along the Air Force idiot in their uniform design program as well.
OH……I get it! They want to go back to the idea of the British Redcoats….they WANT to stand out….OK, now that makes sense. Sorry I was confused there for a moment.

These projects from the Army and AF are truely BAD
I wouldn't be caught dead wearing them, but unfortunately, I think a lot of our boys WILL be if they go into a hot zone wearing this crap.
I bet the Marines have never been happier that they went thier own way with MARPAT.

Hmmmm well said....I wouldn't be surprised to see them suddenly come to their senses and try to adopt something simular to the USMC MARPAT cammie. But then they just might continue on STUPIDLY and get a bunch of folks killed before they realize that, "That dog won't hunt!":(
Listen up all:
The Marine pattern is the best so far. The army has 3 patterns: wood or green, desert or tan, and urban or grey. The pictures of the air force give it more justice than it deserves! I've tried on some of it. 3 or four shades of blue. we jokingly call it skyflouge. It looks like something from beverly hills.
Rudy out.

WTF?
"It looks super!"?
Why can't Al Quaeda have the same opinion? Make things a hell of a lot easier.
Why do the women rate it on how well it looks and not on practicality?
Do they even know what camoflage is supposed to do?
Why not sell them to Australia, give us plastic guns, kiss us all goodbye and be done with it?
The world's gone mad.

How soon until you see that AF pattern at your local "Hot Topic", or on a rap video?
Damn, that's moronic.
But, they looked quite appropos behind that keyboard in the first linked pic!
And for once, the Army is playing catch-up to my beloved Corps. Too bad their "one camo fits all environments" philosophy will get good trigger-pullers killed.
Best,

I'll disagree about the Army pattern.
I think it looks a lot more effective than the MARPAT or even CADPAT. It certainly doesn't look any more retarded than the former.
I think in the real environment, the Army pattern will blend much better than you think over a far wider range of environments.
As for the AF pattern...an interesting solution...to a non-existant problem.

:? That reminds me of the German paratrooper cammo from WWII.
That airforce is definatly more "FASHION" then Function
The same idiot that gave the black berets to "Everyone" was probably responsible for this as well
What is our military leadership thinking???????
