I've just gotten to the point where I can post pic's so I thought I'd post some of my L1A1 and Falklands Era SAS kit. Hope you all like them.
MOD issue DPM windproof smock, Lightweight Combat pack (COP vest), Nicked RAF cargo strap converted by the riggers for use as an equipment belt, Escape ration pouch, P44 water bottle, cup and pouch, P58 padded compass pouch, SAS issue double ammunition pouch. I still need to track down a second P44 w/b pouch and an ammunition pouch for L1A1 mags. The one in the pic is for 20rd Armalite mags. The pack is an original Berghaus Cyclops Roc. One of the nicest, most comfortable packs out there even after all these years. The rifle is the most exellent L1A1 I got from n8gunner.
Enjoy the pics and please feel free to comment.

Nice.
Do you have a photo of what the magazine pouch that you're looking for looks like? Or nomenclature? I collect FAL pouches only, 'cause I don't have room for the whole works.
Naturally, I'll wait until after you get yours.

Din,
You can just see the double magazine pouch in the lower left of this picture. This one is for 20rd Armalite mags. The one I need is for L1A1 mags.

Thanks Broadsword.
Looks like a toughie to find. Is that a tandem (one piece) pouch set, with separate belt loops?

Broadsword
May 19, 2004, 20:53
Yes it is. Two pouches connected with a divider in each pouch. Two L1A1 mags per pouch for a total of four. The back has upper and lower belt loops. I like the way all the pouches hang below the belt line. Makes carrying the bergen really nice. If anyone runs into one of these mag pouches please let me know. I also need a second water bottle pouch. I have a second water bottle and cup but need another pouch.

IMA is selling the P44 water bottle, cup and carrier:

Perhaps they would sell the carrier only?

Beauts! Of course, my wife says you are an evil man for my kit "issues."

Now you have me hunting around e-bay for PLCE kit.

Evil I say! EVIL MAN!

Yeah! Well, Who sent the DANCAM stuff back to me? Huh!
Now I've had to buy a DANCAM PLCE bergen. Had to buy two Arktis magazine pouches in DANCAM to go with the triple rear pouches, so now I have better than half of a complete set of Arktis webbing in Danish Camouflage. I have no choice now but to order the composite belt, yoke and water bottle pouches. Gonna then need an FFD pouch and compass/knife pouch. The guy on Ebay has Arktis waterproof trousers to match my DANCAM smock for $75.00 and how would it look if I didn't have a DANCAM drag bag for my SWS. A plain old OG holster for the 1911 just won't do now that I've seen the DANCAM tactical holsters. I bet Karsten could even do a DANCAM paint job on one of my rifles as well. I'm even thinking about a DANCAM poncho liner for the bedroom but I'm to afraid of Dijon to go there yet.
So don't tell me about your addiction buddy. I'm as bad off as you are and your to blame.

I'll keep an eye skinned for deals on PLCE. You sticking with OG or will DPM do?

I was just rereading everyones comments and realized that I commented on the Berghaus bergen but it isn't in any of the pic's. Here are a couple that allow you to see how well the bergen rides with the belt order. I really love this kit.

Ahhh............ The gear gods are smiling. I found the L1A1 SAS issue magazine pouch I needed. Now my SAS belt kit is complete. Pouch should be here in a week or so. I'll add a pic of it with four L1A1 mags as soon as it does.

Yes, I'm Ex-Army. Carried an M16/203 and Dragon Missle system in the 4th ID for Uncle Sam.
Takes a special breed to hunt and kill tanks and APC's on foot. Most of us were...........well............special. Looking back now, I guess we just weren't to damn smart.
Yes, I'm pretty proud of the kit I've put together. This is the second time doing it. Sold all my SAS gear to Platapus in Australia due to marital issues. Now that the divorce is final and I have my kids , life is good and I'm back at it.
The SLR is nice. It was built by a fellow FAL'er here. I got it from n8gunner. Theres quite a story behind that one as well. My lady conspired with n8gunner and another FAL'er of questionable morals mparrish behind my back to buy it for me. I still can't believe they all managed to keep me in the dark for close to a month. Good show fellas.
The SLR is sitting against the headboard just waiting till September so she can go out and have the fake flash suppressor replaced with the real deal.
I'm still on the lookout for an SAS issue SLR magazine pouch. The one mentioned above came in from the UK and ended up being another one made for Armalite 20 rd mags not the 20rd SLR mags like I need. If anyone has one please drop me a line. I have added a Golok tree beater to the belt rig but I need an issue P58 scabbard for it.
My interests have shifted a bit from my SAS kit to my new Danish camo stuff.
I'm on the prowl for anything DANCAM these days. Thanks alot mparrish.
