A few months ago I took my Cetme out shooting and it began to double. I built it about 3 yrs. ago and never had a problem before. Today I took it to the range to attempt diagnosis. I noted it doubled almost every time I pulled the trigger. My friend tried it as well (I read a thread about inadvertent doubling of the M1A). He noticed that the doubling was actually caused by a round firing when the trigger is pulled, then another round firing when the trigger is released. I tried it slowly, and sure enough, a discharge when trigger is pulled and one when trigger is released, most of the time. Once or twice, it seemed to double with a single trigger pull. The trigger pack is different than a G3, so I'm pretty confused. Any input?

Check to see if both tails from the hammer spring are resting on the disconnector pad. Also look for wear on the front of the sear where it rubs against the hammer, it should slope down at a straight angle. If not the sear is worn, needs replacing. Also check the integrity of the pin that holds the disconnector in place, its pressed in, it may have walked out.

I do a lot of trigger work on Cetmes, seen and repaired all sorts of interesting scenarios.
