Can anyone tell me a source for a tap/die for chasing/cleaning barrel/receiver threads on a metric FN. I checked a local source and they want $25 & $68...does anyone have a cheaper source...I am a hobbyist with two kits! I want to do it right but I don't want to invest a fortune in tooling...I already have pins gauges, Caliente wrench, go&no-go gauges, caliper, gunplumber, grip/stock tool, gas system alignment tool....need tap/die....got the others but these two have to ordered by my local vendor!

Thanks,

MSC, Inc has the tap and die. They weren't too hard on the wallet if I recall correctly. You nmight want to post in the marketplace, someone might sell you one.

Check MSC (http://www.mscdirect.com/). If you are chasing receiver threads, get the bottom tap.
