Hello,

Could anyone tell me if they have purchased the original Steyr made double mag leather pouches from Inter Ordnance? They come with two 20 rnd steel mags for $9.95. They are advertised as being in very good condition. $9.95 for two mags sounds like a real good deal, so I was thinking of picking some up. But I wanted to see if anyone else had purchased them and find out if you thought it was a good buy.

Thanks.

I have been to the IO warehouse (around 4 years ago) and they had big bins full of them. They are in excellent condition.

I have about 6 of those pouches.
They store the mags one deep and 2 wide, so you would only have access to 4 mags on the front of whatever belt you are wearing before they started wrapping around your sides.
The belt loops allow the pouches to slide.

That said, the pouches are excellent quality and very strong.

I prefer cordura for my LB gear whenever possible.
It is lighter, stronger, mold resistant, and does not retain water like old school materials (canvas and leather.)
This goes for pouches, belts, packs and assorted harnesses.

There are a couple of .308 pouch options that I know of in the 16-18$ range.
TT and BH are among them.

hope this helps,

Hey BroncoMafia, thanks for the reply. I appreciate the link you provide below for the cordura pouches as well. I will check them out.

These $9.95 two-mags-and-pouch sets from IOA are among the best buys out there right now. I have received several sets over the past two months. The pouch condition runs from new to well worn, with a fair amount of wear the norm. But they are still all usable. The mags that I have received have been in excellent to new condition. Buy some before the piles in the warehouse are gone.

P.S. In case you're wondering, I have no connection with IOA.
